Ravani or Revani is a sweet goody with its origins and aromas in the Middle Eastern cuisine, which also became a beloved, popular dessert recipe all over Greece, notably in the northern town of Veria, where it evolved to a local staple. It is traditionally prepared with semolina, eggs, yogurt and topped with a rich pouring of syrup, while we love to infuse ours with a fresh sprinkle of lemon and orange zest for that extra citrusy flavor. A must-try all-year long, especially during the hot days of summer with a nice scoop of ice cream!
