Allergens policy

The Company firmly believes in providing high quality food to our customers and clients that is safe to eat. We are therefore committed to reducing the risk to our customers with regards to the provision of food and the consumption of allergens which could lead to an allergic reaction. The Company accepts its duty to comply with all relevant Food Regulations, which states that allergen information must be provided to the customers. The Company acknowledges that the successful implementation of this policy and management of allergens requires the commitment and support from all employees. All our items are produced at a kitchen where celerycereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggsfishlupinmilkmolluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustardpeanutssesamesoybeanssulphur dioxide and sulphites (at a concentration of more than ten parts per million) and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts) are handled. Therefore, despite having all hygiene procedures implied while food handling, there is always a possibility of cross-contamination through traces. Since our products are made to order, the customer MUST LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE there is an allergy, either by informing us through email at orders@yayakafood.co.uk or by putting a note while purchasing any item. In this way, we will be extra careful while handling your order, reducing the risk of an allergic reaction.
